Does mp3.now Work on Mobile?

Yes. mp3.now runs entirely in the browser, so it works on iPhone, iPad, and Android exactly as it does on desktop- Same converters, same limits, same account. There is no app to install, nothing to update, and no mobile-only restrictions. Conversion happens on our servers, so even a large FLAC file converts just as fast from a three-year-old phone as from a workstation.

Converting on iPhone and iPad

Open mp3.now in Safari (or any iOS browser), tap the upload area, and iOS will offer your Files app, iCloud Drive, and third-party storage apps like Dropbox or Google Drive. A very common mobile task- Turning an iPhone voice memo into an MP3- Works well: share the memo to Files first, then upload it here. We have a dedicated walkthrough in How to Convert Voice Memos to MP3, and a companion guide for going the other way to make an iPhone ringtone. Downloads land in the Files app under Downloads.

Converting on Android

On Android the flow is even more direct: Chrome (or any browser) opens the system file picker, which can see your Downloads, recordings, and any connected cloud storage. Converted MP3s save straight to your Downloads folder, where any music player app will find them. Extracting audio from a video you filmed also works- Upload the MP4 and download just the sound, which is far smaller than the original clip and easier to share.

Mobile Limits and Data Usage

Limits are identical to desktop: 10 conversions/day and 10 MB per file for guests, 20/day and 50 MB with a free account, and larger allowances on paid plans. One mobile-specific consideration is data: you upload the source file and download the result, so converting a 50 MB WAV over a metered connection uses real bandwidth in both directions. On slow connections, the upload- Not the conversion- Is usually the longest step; see How Long Does Conversion Take?.

Do You Need an App?

No, and we do not offer one- Deliberately. A browser-based converter needs no installation, no storage permissions beyond the file you pick, and no background access to your media library. If you convert often on your phone, add mp3.now to your home screen from the browser share menu; it opens full-screen and behaves like an app, with the same free access as everywhere else. The utility tools- trimming, compressing, merging- All work on mobile too.
