Guest Access - No Account Needed
You can use mp3.now immediately without registering. Guests receive 10 conversions per day with a 10 MB file-size limit per upload. Converted files are available for download for 24 hours before being automatically deleted. That covers the most common jobs: turning a WAV export into an MP3, pulling the audio track out of an MP4, or shrinking a voice memo for email.
How the Daily Limit Works
The counter tracks completed conversions and resets at midnight UTC. Each file counts once- So a batch of 10 files uses 10 of a guest's 10 daily conversions in a single job. Failed conversions are not counted against you, and simply visiting the site or previewing settings costs nothing. If you hit the cap mid-task, you can either wait for the reset or create a free account to continue immediately with the higher allowance.
Free Account Tier
Registering for a free account (email only, no payment details) raises your daily limit to 20 conversions, your file-size limit to 50 MB, and extends file retention to 7 days. You also get a conversion history dashboard and achievement streaks. The account tier is genuinely free- It is not a trial that expires or quietly converts into a subscription.
What Is Never Charged
Output quality is identical across all plans- There are no quality-locked tiers designed to force an upgrade. Every conversion runs through the same ffmpeg-powered pipeline whether you are a guest or a Premium Plus subscriber, so a 320 kbps MP3 from a free session sounds exactly the same as one from a paid one. Watermarks or audio bumpers are never inserted into converted tracks on any plan. The utility tools- compress, trim, merge, and normalize- are free to use within the same daily limits.
Paid Plans
Two paid plans exist for users who need more capacity, not better audio: Premium ($9.99/mo) adds unlimited conversions, 200 MB uploads, 365-day retention, API access, and no ads.
